Memorial services for 52 year old Brian Ellyson of Concord will be held at a later date. He died Sunday at his home in Concord.

     Brian Soren Ellyson was born December 14, 1959, in Sioux City, IA to Marvin and Marion (Hanson) Ellyson.  He graduated from West High School in Sioux City in 1978.  He entered the United States Marines in June of 1978 serving until his discharge in 1982.  Brian married Kim Surber in 1983, at Ponca.  The couple later divorced.  Brian had many odd jobs and did construction work.  He was a cook at The Wagon Wheel Steak House in Laurel, Cafeteria Manager at United Vending Company; owned and operated the Pistol Club in Laurel for over ten years, worked in Alaska fishing for salmon, and was employed in Hawaii.  Brian loved the outdoors, fishing, and hunting.
     Brian is survived by his children, Tyler Ellyson of Columbus and Jennifer Peterson of Randolph; grandson, Kage Peterson of Randolph, parents, Marvin and Marion Ellyson of Laurel, sister, Cynthia (Lonnie) Johns of Sergeant Bluff, IA, niece, Jessica Johns and nephew, Marclay Johns;
     Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
